Journey To The Manger...

We traveled along Main Street in Down Town Simpsonville. To go to a local Methodist church that put on a live Nativity Scene, documenting the journey and birth of Jesus.

Along the way, as we traveled to the church you will see lights that are hung along Main Street.

Enjoy the pictures...

Merry Christmas,
Andrea, Bill and the girls

And the Journey begins...

The 3 Wise men were told to follow the brightness of the North Star, and this is how they would find Jesus...

Madelyn's Christmas Play...Christmas is a Rainbow!

Madelyn was in her very first school play. The 2nd graders at Fork Shoals Elementary school put on their very own production with the help and guidance from Mrs. Paxton!

Madelyn had a short but sweet speaking part, she was Reindeer #5.

She did GREAT! Bill and I and her two sisters, Gabriella and Savannah were very proud of her.

Good Job Madelyn...we love you!

I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

They even had Milk and Cookies!

Gabby had a cookie too!

Bill...well he wasn't so lucky...no cookie for him :(

Madelyn singing!

I have to admit, she did look a little scared...

Apple Tart

So proud of myself...

I have become a little baker...

I made a home made Caramelized Apple Tart!

Starts off with Bill's Home made pie crust with a hint of cinnamon.

Lot's of butter, a little of this, and a little of that and this is what you get...
Who wants a piece...you have to come see me to get one...

Tis The Season...

Well, I guess I will write this one in Red since it's all related to the Simpsonville,SC Christmas parade!

Holy Cow...I am absolutely amazed at how involved and intense Simpsonville gets about the Holiday Season! There is so much to do between this weekend and the week before Christmas!

Since we moved here in August, I have really begun to understand that here in South Carolina it's...FAMILY FIRST! Which is fantastic! Everything down here really revolves around the children, and families in the area. It's a beautiful feeling...one that I never want to end!

So today, December 5, 2010 we attended the Simpsonville Christmas Parade. Local business's, the Mayor, Mascot, Fire Department's, etc...all participate in the event. There were 100 displaying their talents, giving out coupons, advertising their business's all in the magical event. There was even a surprise visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sponge Bob, and Buzz Light year!!!
It was a cool 45 degrees out, but that did not stop us! I mean it could be worse...it could be snowing!

People lined Main Street and awaited in anticipation!

Merry Christmas to all our family back in NY, may your day be magical and shared with loved ones.

Enjoy the pictures, we wish you could of been here to share in our joy...

Until Next Time,
Andrea, Bill and the Girls!
